We are a virtual "village," a group of people who help others and each other deal with the challenges of aging in the place one feels most comfortable -- one's own home.
Sacramento Mountain Village is a cooperative effort to address the needs of its members -- people helping people, serving seniors of the Ruidoso, Ruidoso Downs and Alto areas. It is dedicated both to helping its members get the most out of their lives by offering socal, recreational and volunteer opportunities and by providing simple resources to help them stay in their own homes as they age.
We do what we can to help our members stay active and healthy and able to live safely and independently. For each member, that means something different. Perhaps it means needing transportation to the doctor's office or the grocery store. Perhaps it means a good stretch and tone with an experienced yoga instructor. Sometimes we provide food for the soul, sometimes for the mind. And sometimes, we are just there -- to talk to, to walk with, to be. Our members come from all walks of life; some are seniors, some are not. All share their talents with those who need them.
There is more information throughout this website. But you are also welcome to come to our meetings. They are the fourth Saturday of every month at the Cree Meadows Country Club. 9:30 a.m.
